One of our guests at Thanksgiving is a friend of a Supreme court judge.
She was telling us about a debate she got into where the other person stated flat out seriously, "Just because the Supreme court ruled on it doesn't make it law".

We all had a good chuckle over that and I figured, I wonder how many real life *head to desk* killer arguments people have actually heard.

Here's a couple of my favorites that happened recently:

"The axis could have won WWII. Every time we play the board game Risk, if Japan doesn't invade Pearl Harbor it goes on to win the Pacific and the war." Not the exact quote but pretty close.

"The Constitution is fixed. So you can't change it", stated in reference to gun rights.
My comment was something like, "So explain the 2nd amendment..."
