any terry pratchett fans here?

Postby code monkey » Thu Feb 14, 2019 6:04 pm

Michael, Elliot and I were great fans of his and I've recently discovered some duplicates for which i'd like to find new homes.

they are:

equal rites
lords and ladies
men at arms
night watch
and still i persist in wondering whether folly must always be our nemesis. edgar pangborn

come gentle night. come loving black browed night
give me my romeo. and when he shall die
take him and cut him out in little stars
and he will make the face of heaven so fine
that all will be in love with night
and pay no worship to the garish sun. william shakespeare

If no one else has fessed up I would be happy to re-home Terry Pratchett books. My address is Jesse Kesler 4150 Pearl Wood Way Antelope CA 95843.

I'm a fan but I try to constrain my novel-reading to e-books. Easier on the eyes. I ditched about 75% of my paper books when I moved to Oregon.

geonuc, may I conclude that you are merely announcing your enjoyment of terry Pratchett and a desire not to clutter up your home with old-fashioned physical books? btw I fervently hope that by 'ditched' you mean that you passed the books along to others.

fisher, your new books will be winging their way to you just as soon as I can get them wrapped and to the post office.

somehow I expected there to be more of us in this group.

MrPi has been laughing in bed for months now, reading Terry Pratchett books from the library. I haven't tried any out yet.

Well, I wouldn't say announcing so much as responding to your general inquiry. And as I said, it's for the eyes mostly. E-readers are far easier on the eyes.

I've only ever put one book in the garbage, The Physics of Star Trek. Look it up, when you see who the author is you'll know why.

so I am responsible for your apparent lack of self-control and discipline, inability to manage your time and your excessive need for sleep? who knew that I had such power?!
