Walked into the garage yesterday, NPR was on the radio. It was the middle of a long story chronicling Cernan's career. I thought, "Oh $hit, one less hero."
I was right.

When I was a kid I remember one of my school friends telling me how upset his parents were after Fred Astair died as they grew up with him in their lives. My thought turned to, one day, this shit is going to happen to me. I was a very strange little kid. That time has now come however.
